As a 190SL owner, we have several friends with 300SLs. I can't imagine someone thinking them "junk" though. These are both wonderful machines. Easy to work on, and parts are still available FROM Mercedes Benz, and they drive amazingly well, especially since they are over 50 years old. The 300SL was a 275hp machine that put Mercedes Benz back into business after the war. We have friends who race their 190SLs, who regularly beat the SLs produced for the next 20 years.

I nearly sold my 190SL a year ago, but decided at the last minute to hang onto it. And yes, most parts (excepting chrome) are cheap.

Maybe I am biased, but I think my old old, MCoupe is an underrated BMW and deserves to be regarded a classic Bimmer one day.

I don't think your biased, the profile shot of the Bimmer Mcoupe shows truly unique lines. My Track-T in profile has a bit more of pedestrian lines to it in comparison.

Likely? The R129s aren't particularly collectable. Yours is either an AMG or a V-12, right? Due to low production numbers, these are more likely to be collectable - but neither is particularly cheap-to-keep, when compared to the naturally aspirated V-8s.

(Should have waited until '06, then I would have gotten the 6L 400 HP manual ride)

Rover SD1 - V8, wasn't fast - but the torque was amazing.

After that, nothing really springs to mind - a collection of faceless modern stuff. Reliable though .

I have hankerings for Series II (or III) Landrover - and a Ferrari. But not enough to buy either.

It's the 55 AMG supercharged. When looking I also drove a 65AMG V12 biturbo but the exhaust note did not excite.

This is one of the nicest cars I had after 1980; the 2500 Coupe Lancia.
I presume that this car is unknown into USA as not compliant to emission ruling.
It was not particularly fast but very comfortable at speeds above 110 mph.
There were a few in Holland at that time; it was never a popular car and now it is a collectors item. I sold it because of a weak fore train and very high cost of maintenance that matched closely my later 308.

I still have in France - but not driven for a long time a Volvo 262 Bertone which belonged to my late stepfather. Also a car, I think that never went commercial in USA.

here's a Custom Built 2009 Wooden Car

This custom wooden car rides on a 1986 Toyota truck frame and gets power from a Chrysler 318 engine.
It is driven by an automatic transmission and has merely 1,800 miles on its speedometer.
The whole body is made of cedar and its interior is just as over-the-top as the exterior.
