Anchorage in Miami

Hi all,

I am crossing ICW and will arrive in Miami in a few days. I'd like to know the latest information about the anchorage near Belle Isle. I was there two years ago and there was a desire of the residents to prohibit the anchoring and landing of dinghies.
I never anchorage in Virginia Key at Marine Stadium. Is it easy to get a place to anchor? And to go landing? Is there a nearby market? Other facilities?
I am very grateful to anyone who can give me as much information as possible.

Anchor out by Belle Island and dinghy up Collins Canal to the dinghy dock across Dade Blvd from Fresh Market (and Publix to the north) or dinghy further east under Alton Rd to the dock across Dade Blvd from another, smaller, closer Publix.
