I am doing that vacation thingy in SFO and I am proud to say that while in the grocery checkout I picked up one of those People/Us/whatever magazines and other than a gathering of really old rockers in some park (Sir Paul, Townsend/Daltry, Jagger/Richards etc.) I didn't recognize anyone.

OK minus points for picking up the rag in the first place but seriously it was a magazine full of people I had zero interest in...

And man - the remnants of the Beatles, The Who and the Stones are really, really, really freakin' old. Am I that old? And what the hell is keeping Keith Richards alive?

And don't get me started on the Harley riders!

Yep, been to Milwaukee, and Sturgis, and Daytona, and Key West, and every other zoom zooming place. It's like a one animal zoo.

Dan, there's your tribal conformity. Black.
The folks that are completing buckets lists by buying Harley's and going to Sturgis are not bikers. It is like Vegas or Disneyland. The experience has been totally neutered and made "safe."

Sort of like a generic experience. They can pretend to be bikers but there aren't. It is a completely new monkeysphere.
