Spending 1 night in St. Michaels Maryland
We're planning an overnight trip to St Michaels from Annapolis Harbor. Any recommendations on where to anchor or dock? Also, does anyone have any restaurant/bar recommendations.
Someone mentioned a Maritime museum where you can reserve space if you pay an annual membership. |

You can anchor just off the Cheasapeake Bay Maritme Museum (CBMM), but the water can be a but thin, or you can pay the annual membership fee and tie up @ the museum. The annual fee is way more than a night's dockage, but you are supporting a good group and if you return for nore than one trip it is a better deal.
Enjoy, Mike |

The docking tips above are correct....and the showers are good...at the Museum..
No visit to St Michaels would be complete without Dinner at the Crab Claw..right on the water next to the museum....there's a dinghy dock behind the restaurant if you need it......After that...you can walk into town for ice cream. If you're looking for... music, cocktails or maybe a game of pool.....The Carpenter Street Saloon is a must. You might get lucky and happen on a really great band!!.... Music starts around 8 or 9 pm..? Watch your navigation going up the eastern bay and the miles river...the route is clear.....the corners and edges are shallow...Have Fun!!.... Tempest... |

Sometimes when St. Michael's basin gets too crowded, we'll anchor outside to dinghy it for dinner, and then move across the river to Leeds Creek for the night, which is usually empty, but secure and scenic.

You didn't mention if your were chartering or not. Some of the charter boats out of Annapolis have a membership in the Maritime Museum that will allow you to tie up at their bulkhead and use the facilities.
