San Diego Marinas

Looking to move my boat to San Diego, from Canada cruise south in our winter, Oct-March , moor during the summer , March- Oct.visit San Diego a few times in the summer, need a balance between cost and good security, any suggestions or advise 34 ft + 10 sprit channel cutter

Im currently investigating san diego and found the moorings are very cheap and they have 30 day transient for 7$ a day....cehck em out and good luck!The San Diego Mooring Company - Our Rates

Thank you kredix. Good to know. I'll need to leave the boat sometime in September for about 4/5 months before I sail it down the coast in February. Forgot about moorings.

For what it's worth, I just did a podcast (audio interview) with Kathy O'Brian of Sun Habror Marina here in San Diego: Podcast - TheKeel

You can find her contact info if you have any other questions. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's been a great marina too us.

There's *a lot* of difference between living near Shelter Island versus living in south bay.
