Leaving your
boat for a few weeks in
Costa Rica is expensive. Gulfito is a place where many boats are looked after by "Land and Sea"

You can leave her on a buoy. There is also 2
marinas that charge a whopping 350 per foot.
I spent 3 weeks getting
repairs there and hate the place. It rains every night and is very humid we had black
mold on the decks after 10 days.
Checking in and out is a huge hassel ( one of the worst we found on the whole Pacific Coast.
Panama is a far better choice. It is easy for crew to arrive and an excellent place to provision and buy boat
parts at really good prices.
What you spend in moorage you will save in time.
If you are going up the Coast Further
Pusta del Sol Marina in
Nicaragua is the best Marina in
Central America (easy to check in)
cheaper than Costa Rica and very safe.
