Northwest Creek Marina

Until now, we have been keeping our boat at Mccotter's Marina in Washington, NC, but were on the waiting list for Northwest Creek Marina, in New Bern. I was told that it would be a year's wait, so I did not do much research.

Got the call yeasterday that a slip is available, and I have unitll 4pm today to take it.

The marina looks very nice, and the rates are reasonable. I am concerned about marine services. What are the haulout options, and what services are available in the area?

Any comments on the marina in general?

We have been at NW Creek Marina for a couple of years and are very happy with everything. The people are friendly and the staff is very helpful. They will watch over your boat when you are not there. They have a fuel dock with free pump outs for boats in the marina and their prices are reasonable compared to other marinas in the area. For haul outs, most people take their boats to Duck Creek, which is a couple of miles away. It's a little out of the way if you want to go downtown, but we prefer being away from the traffic noise.
