Marina / yard in Southern California

I am currently considering taking my sailboat to southern California to haul her out, unstep the mast and load her on a truck... I am wondering if there is a convenient place to do this kind of operation in southern California (travelift big enough and a crane (she's 20 tons, 51 feet long with close to 17 beam and a 60 feet mast...)

Anyone familiar with this area and facilities?

Thank you all,
Simon

In San Diego, Driscoll is the best yard, not cheap though. Further up the coast in Long Beach, Marina Shipyard can handle your boat and may be a better deal. (562) 594-0995 Tony is the yard manager and Dawn runs the office and can answer cost and capacity questions.

Where do you want to start from ? Even tiny Dana Point shipyard recently upgraded to a 100 ton lift that can take a 18' beam.

Depending on where you want the truck to go may be a factor. Might be easier going east from Ventura then MDR where you'd have to drive across Los Angeles. Here's a list of most boatyards in the area that may be of help.
