Marina / Boatyard - Mobile Bay

Hi all,

Work is taking me inland and I'm going to use the opportunity for some long-overdue upgrades on the hard. I'm looking for a sailboat-friendly DIY boatyard/Marina ranging from Mobile Bay to Pensacola. Long-term storage is also a need.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

All I know is Dog River Marina, which may or may not have a boat yard. You may call them for suggestions.

Barber Marina on the ICW near Orange Beach, Alabama is a DYI boatyard. They are new and appear to have lots of space for storage. I have a hurricane plan with them and my association with them thus far has been great. They seem comfortable with sailboats.

Bayou Chico in Pensacola has a couple nice ones,

Pensacola Marina and Private Terminal Complex - PSMC * florida shipyard *pensacola florida shipyard and marina *marinas in pensacola *marina and ship repair facility in pensacola *northwest florida marinas * pensacola florida shipyards *cargo termina

Pelican's Perch Marina and Boatyard - Pensacola, Florida (formerly known as Brown's Marina)

really well protected waters off the Pensacola Bay.

Highly reccomend Patti's Boat Storage

Located in Bayou Chico. Lot's of DIY boats. Great people. We were hauled out here for several months last huricane season. Bayou Chico is a great, protected bayou, as a previous poster mentioned. We are there now.

How can I get lost?? I don't know where I'm going!
