Live a-board Vancouver Island

Hi,

I am planning to live a-board a marina somewhere between Comox-Ladysmith but am having a real hard time finding marinas that allow live a-boards. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can look. I currently work in parksville so as long as its within 45 minutes to work I am happy.

I have wondered this myself. I also live in Parksville and have not seen anything locally that allows live-aboard. If you do find something it would be great to know. I hope you come across something that works.

Only place I know of personally is Maple Bay Marina they do, maybe too far south. Good luck. I've been here two years, nice place, good staff. Nice setting.



I assume you have simply gone through harbor-by-harbor and used the, gasp!, telephone to get in touch. I know it's a seldom used form of communication these days, but since we still use the VHF, perhaps verbal comms aren't so far fetched after all.
