Ibiza Marinas

I need to leave my Bavaria 44 in Ibiza for 2 weeks on Saturday 13th June-does anybody have any suggestions for the best priced marina.I guess price more important than location and facilities.Any other suggestions of cruising Ibiza/Formentera appreciated.

There is a common base cost for any marina that belongs to Balearic Local Government.

You can try to download information from their website. Google: Ports Illes Balears.

Any other marina at Ibiza out of the ones mentioned is going to be very probably at a higher cost.

Generally you will find two ways of berthing: alongside and perpendicular to pier (mediterranean style) this last one is obviously cheaper.

Punta: berthed mediterranean style
Costat: berthed alongside
Transit: boats not based in the port
Resta del any: rest of the year

The cost is expresed in euro per square meter ocuppied. Basically lenght x beam

Bring LOTS OF EUROS! Otherwise, if it were me, I'd strongly consider the two day enjoyable sail over to Menoca for cheaper accommodations in Mahon. Or maybe Soller on Mallorca. Or a one day sail back to the mainland where a slip will run maybe a 1/4 the price.

Cartegena is just a one day sail, you can leave your boat securely at Yachtport Cartegena for under 50 euros per day. If you already have air fair out of Ibiza, Ryanair only charges about 25 euros for a commuter flight.

Mainland is cheaper but not as much as you said.

You may consider to stay at anchor but I understood that you will leave the boat. In that case is no so convenient/safe

I'd never leave our boat for that length of time in those crowded anchorages off Formenterra or Ibiza near the airport.

Mainland costs in Cartegna is 60 euros per day for a 16 meter (53ft boat) June and July on a weekly rate. I've stayed there many times. Ask the Marina manager for the weekly rate, her English is very good, excellent staff, no swell, security gates.
