Thumbs down Grenada Marine

If you're considering Grenada Marine to haul out for next hurricane season, think again. It's OK and well protected, and good if you're going to stay on your boat and do work yourself. But leaving your boat there for 4-5 months and having them perform some work, it will not get done until 3 days before launch back into the water. Their staff is just stretched too thin amongst 250 boats to do your jobs unless you are there to chase their technicians down. The humidity in summer months is very high. Any parts you have them order are very over priced, they say because imported, whereas there is a Budget Marine and Island Waterworld located in town. I had my boat there for 5 months and couldn't leave fast enough, and talking to other boat owners there, all had same frustrations.

Re: Grenada Marine

Ahhh, That's useful advice. I'm thinking about taking my boat from Puerto Rico to either Grenada or Trinidad for the hurricane season and to have some fiberglass/gelcoat work done.

Do any of the members have good, recent experience?
