We are very pleased to announce that Marina at Emerald Bay is reopening on November 10... and we think you'll agree it's better than ever. Sandals Resorts International, the respected international hotel company, purchased the marina (along with the former Four Seasons and related facilities) and is now completing a US$15 million upgrade of the property. It is now called Sandals Emerald Bay and the changes are truly spectacular. There's a new full-service Red Lane® Spa with 22 indoor treatment areas and six exotic outdoor sanctuaries; plus a fine-dining seafood restaurant, an authentic Italian brick-oven pizzeria and a traditional British pub complete with a pool and snooker room. The property will have three pools including a brand new Sandals Signature freshwater pool that will entice guests with a Jacuzzi, swim-up pool bar and unique fire-pit seating area in the center. And of course we still have our stunning Greg Norman designed golf course.
Our renovated marina features a welcoming clubhouse with a full-service restaurant including al fresco dining on a spectacular wraparound terrace, pool, a new dive shop and facilities to accommodate families with children. Thanks for your wonderfully articulated insight and opinion but you are many years too late to be complaining, it's been there for a long time already.

Might want to actually read what I wrote first and/or look up the definition of " as well". OK I'll make it easy for you; it means "in addition to".

Maybe this will be easier for you.

I hope they continue to offer the low budget slips as well as the full service slips that cost 2.25$ per foot.

Ill be in many expensives marinas around mate, im just want to say in this forum, because this is a forum , right?? what happen with the enviroment in one of the most beautifull places in the world, 2.25PER FOOT , golf course, spa, etc... for who??? the healty?? or the regular sailor??

I agree that for sure is good for the locals, jobs etc... and i feel good if the local comunity in exumas feel good with all the developments around.

As some us know, Emerald Bay MARINA, has been very cruiser friendly. The staff has always bent over backwards to help with freight shipments, to sending faxes at no cost. They offered non service, (no electric), slips for 1.00 per ft., with free wifi, free laundry, and free dvd loans. And the marina was absolutely beautiful!!! It is a totally separate entity from the resort, except we were allowed to use the resort pool.
Then the entire property went belly up and many many locals lost there jobs.
So it is a good thing for the locals, and the local economy and a good thing for the cruiser as there are VERY few marinas in the area. I think basically two in Georgetown!!! And it was cheaper to go to the marina for free laundry and amenities than to use the laundry in Georgetown!!!!!!

Well, thanks for the info, 1.00 per ft, sounds good, free wifi sounds good too, and locals return to their jobs sounds nice, very clear thanks.
