Question Defining a Liveaboard??

Does anyone know how a marina defines a liveaboard?

For various work related reasons, I will be staying on my boat 4 nights a week, year round. Does this qualify as a liveaboard? Technically, my place of residence will not be there.

Any insight? Could I just get a regular slip and let them know I use the boat in the winter too?

Thanks guys.

Different marinas will have differing definitions

If you have a permanent street & mailing address, other than the marina, then (technically) the boat is not your permanent abode, and you’re not a live-aboard.
However, the marina management may consider you a live-aboard if you regularly overnight on the boat.
You really have to discuss the issue with the marina management. Be prepared to support your contention that you’re not a live-aboard tenant - they may be concerned with municipal bylaw issues, and/or operating costs:
~ legal issues - zoning etc. (but you have an address)
~ marina cost issues (electrical consumption, & facilities usage)
