Cruising Cape Cod, recs on marinas there.

Looking at a 4 or 5 day cruise from Newport to Cape Cod. Was going to hit up Falmouth, Hyannis, and back. Any recommendations for marinas or possible other towns. Have been to the Vineyard a few x before, so not interested in that.

Thanks

Buzzards bay is loaded with places to go. Quisset. Marion. Padanaram. Onset. Pocasset. Just to name a few.
Are you looking for dockage, anchorage, a mooring?
Sleepy town, no town, night life?
That will help with suggestions.

Thanks, and sorry for the delay. Was actually on the boat w no internet.

Any method of staying, I know buzzards bay a bit, so Onset/Pocasset might be nice. I thought spending a day in Falmouth would be nice as it is a very large town with lots of restuarants. Just looking to eat out and walk a bit, not night life.

Was also thinking of going to Hyannisport since, well you know, the Kennedy's liked it. But Falmouth to Hyannis is not very far for a day. CAn also go thru the canal and up say to Ptown. But then having nothing for the way back, too long to go around the cape in my timeframe.

Any marinas you recommend?

Need a 2 day out and 2 day back to Newport.

With two days each way from Newport I’d put Cuttyhunk, Hadley Harbor or Quissett on the list for a stopover. Then either Pocasset or Hyannis. Woods Hole is between quissett or Hadley and Hyannis, so planning that passage will be tide dependent.
I tend to anchor out or go for a mooring so Marinas are outside of my expertise. But kingman in Pocassett is nice and seems well run.
The restaurant there is jammed weekends.
If you pick up a mooring and row ashore you can get a bus or Uber to woods Hole.
