Absent owner use in Marina del Rey

This is a general question regarding absent owner use, but in particular to Marina del Rey.

I am looking to put a boat in MDR, but live in Ohio. I still have family and friends in the area and am choosing MDR for convenience. We would plan to be on the boat in the harbor roughly a week every other month when not out sailing. In contacting a few marinas about their policies regarding visiting limitations (usually limited to two days a week), some responded with a flat "two days a week", to "shouldn't be a problem".

What's the real story? Some were very evasive to our question and I understand policies are in place to prevent unauthorized liveaboards, but we clearly will not be there that often. We just want the limited use our boat when we are able to use it.

Any insight to the "unofficial" use policy would be greatly appreciated.
