Re: a couple days in Bimini

Just left there yesterday. We stayed at the Big Game Club. Decent facility and customs is on the premise. Bit more than Bluewater per foot. Power was on and off in six hour cycles while we were there! Major PIA shifting from shore power to genset over and over. They CLAIMED they would have full power by today. The power company has a Facebook page and I would check it out.

Bugs were ferocious all night. Be prepared to wear repellant or suffer if you plan to sit in your cockpit at all. Personally, I would anchor out per suggestions above and plan to run your ac all night. It was HOT and very humid.

And, last time we stayed there, they had a golf cart for rent, which is a fun way to see Bimini.

Re: a couple days in Bimini

I was there two weeks ago.

The casino marina is $3.75 to 5/ft but you will be able to run the essential A/C most of the time. After the power plant fire electricity was off 4-6 hours per day and the air temp is in the 90"s.

Casino minimum bets are often $25/bet.

Big Game Club is about $3.50/ft.

We just paid $2.75/ft at Big Game. We checked on the power personally at the World Resort Marina. The are on the same grid as the rest of the island so power is off and on just like everywhere else. The hotel, however, evidently has its own generators, has air conditioning, and was such a pleasure just to walk through. It was SO blasted hot and humid outside.
