2/11/2011 Looking for a Marina - Melbourne to Ft. Pierce, FL

My husband and I are looking for a wet slip in those areas. We would like to be as close to Vero Beach as we can. Looking for long term, 6-1yr liveaboard. Boat description is S/V 42', 13 beam, 5.5 draft. Not looking for fancy but something with showers & laundry. I called to Vero Beach City Marina and they are full up and not taking any more at this time.

We will have a car so that is not a concern.

We are looking for a liveaboard comminuty, we are in our 50's, as we enjoy that type of life style. We have lived aboard for about 2 yrs now and loving it. If you know of a Marina like that please let me know. As we will be in the area in about 10-12 days. Thank you much

I've stayed at and enjoyed harbortown marina in Ft. Pierce. Harbortown Marina - Ft. Pierce, Florida - A Full Service Marina.

Not quite in the territory you mentioned, but I believe Titusville has slips and welcomes liveaboards.

why not stay at the municipal marina in vero beach? moorings are cheap and so is dockage (for e. fla, that is). it's a short walk/bike to downtown restaurants/bars/shopping. the bus system is FREE too. try it...you'll like it!

Laughing to myself. Clearly, defever didn't bother to read the original post...

There is another nice marina in Vero Beach - Grand Harbor Marina (Loggerhead Club & Marina) in Condo Community. Tel 772-770-4470
It is just a 2.5 nm north of the Vero Beach Muni Marina. Been there, nice place.
