Why another discussion board?

I'm going cruising around the world with my Belize 43 catamaran. In search for information and discussion boards on the web, I was very disappointed by what I found.

Inspired by www.scubaboard.com - a great discussion board on scuba diving, I decided to make a well arranged board for the cruising sailor.

The board is divided into several subjects for you to easily find what your looking for - without having to browse through all the threads like I had to at some sites.

This board is very flexible. Give us your suggestions for adding or changing something and we may do that.

This was fun. The board is just a few hours old, and we've already got two American members.

Thank you for your membership, Bob! Do you want a special title to replace "Junior cruiser"? The 10 first members must have something special for a title, don't you think so?

How about 'old salts'?????

I agree about a name reference to the new members - junior makes me sound like a kid, but that's OK...I'm a kid at heart, and feel like a kid when I get on a boat, though...
