Many thanks to the moderators. The value of this creation can't be overestimated. Good practical advice, great tales(often containing said advice), enjoyable jawing on a variety of subjects of interest to sailors that would bore anyone else to tears, a valuable resource to new and experienced sailors alike, and a way for those who for whatever reason are "between boats" to keep in touch with their passion. Your hard and under appreciated work makes it possible.

Bet the auditions were fun.....

This is my case exactly! What infractions? I'm always being as nice as I can be ... fer me. Moreover, with new mods, I ought to get a fresh slate too!.

Thanks all for past wise counsel.

Just to be clear, I'm not on staff here at this forum in any way, shape or form. I re-read what I posted and I could see room for misinterpretation there.

As always Saucy, you are correct. Thank you for (singlehandedly?) keeping this a nice supportive forum where newbies can ask the same old questions and get answered respectfully. After all we were all wantabees at some stage. When I actually meet CF members in the flesh I find well mannered, considerate and generous people. The moderators do deserve credit for the attitudes that prevail on CF and for the type of people who want to participate. In any people group there will however be some who arrive with attitude or even poor spelling. These need to be moderated and trained. I can't think of anyone better to do it than you. Congratulations to all the mods for a great forum!

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
