I am trying to gather info on interest on an East Coast version of the Baja Haha-type race to kick off the cruising season. Possible starting point is Jacksonville, FL if we can get the city to help by contributing use of the metro marina. Hope to see some interest in this and possible (proposed) dates.

Jax is too far up the river and the conditions to go there are very tidal orientated!

I had our boat Teacher's Pet III in Palatka at the marina for 3 yrs, made several trips up and down. Jax is too far from the Ocean. St Augustine would be a better kick off spot!
