| A Brief History of CF “Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?...” (words and music by Pete Seeger /w Joe Hickerson) This is intended to be a very brief, necessarily cursory, and incomplete history of the CruisersForum. Gisle introduces three Chief Moderators (Pisces, SouthSea, & Popeye) on February 6, 2003. Cruisers Forum goes public February 24, 2003 irwinsailor joins CF February 25, 2003 Chuck Baier & GordMay both join CF March 16, 2003 Pblais joins CF March 21, 2003 delmarrey joins CF March 27, 2003 CF reaches 175 members May 5, 2003 Public site statistics Alan Wheeler (Wheels) joins CF December 13, 2003 Amphibian became the second Administrator (behind Gisle, our founder) on June 21, 2004, and I became the “third and last administrator” of the Cruisers Forum June 22, 2004 Thank you GordMay Thanks a lot Amphibian ssullivan (Sully) joins CF November 24, 2004 Our new owner, Andy R introduces himself on December 25, 2005. Greetings - My introduction.... On April 10, 2006, Andy announced 8 new members of the Mod Team: Euro Cruiser, irwinsailor, Jeff H, knottybuoyz, Pblais, Rick, ssullivan, S/V Elusive We hit 3,000 members August 14, 2006 3,000 Members and growing!!! ssullivan (Sully) retires from moderation February 15, 2007 Alan Wheeler (Wheels) retires from moderation July, 2008 ssullivan (Sully) quits CF September 20/08 - excerpted from his last post: “Last post ever. I'm gone because I don't like GordMay's evil ways.” (Sully last visited the Forum January 4, 2009) Chuck Baier quits CF January 3, 2009 (Chuck last visited the Forum January 7, 2009) CF reaches 18,493 members January 8, 2009. “...
