Re: Shark "bang Stick" in Canada??

I still do not see any point, rigging up on a small boat for a fish over 30 lbs. Seems a mute issue to me unless you are enthralled with killing fish with guns, bang sticks and the lot.

Or, you know... if you're broke like big fish and can't afford a bigger boat.

Re: Shark "bang Stick" in Canada??

Having wrestled my share of mahi to 50# on deck or in the cockpit of my sailboats, I can assure you that they are just as strong as you are. A 200 lb Halibut could break alot in your cockpit for sure....and you might end up with a gaff through your thigh..

Re: Shark "bang Stick" in Canada??

^^^ yup. And I mean I've caught a few 20# Halibut, beat the hell out of them with a club, even stabbed them in the 'brainal area' only to have them keep twitching and kick once in a while for like 20 minutes. 100+ pounds and I wanna make sure that thing is D.E.A. D.D. -dead before trying to bring it aboard.
