Re: Sea Shepherd Ocean Protectors

Uh, mods -- perhaps this should be transferred to off topic before it gets ugly.

And JIM, that's becoming bullying!

I'm not the troll here, look up what a computer troll is and you can see by my involvement and my posts and input that I'm not acting any thing like a troll. I am a proud sea shepherd supporter as most Australians and probably most mariners are who don't like poachers.

So stick that in your proud category and smoke it.

Gee that does not sound like much fun. Why don't you want it to get ugly.

Re: Sea Shepherd Ocean Protectors

For the information of everybody. This is in the rules of this forum,

"Trolling on this board includes posting controversial and often irrelevant or off-topic messages with the intention of (or anticipated result of) baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal, harmonious on-topic discussion, especially when a pattern of such posting is apparent."

The definition of trolling by any other source does not apply in here.

Coops.

They threaten the lives of others, they threaten the lives of their own crew, and they break almost every maritime law doing it.

They are good people to NOT emulate while at sea.

And, No. They aren't too intelligent to keep their yaps shut, as was evidenced by the other post. They aren't alone in being somewhat less than intelligent on the water.
Cappy those if us who actually know Watson and have done business with him can only agree with your assessment.
An environmental and ethical charlatan

Re: Sea Shepherd Ocean Protectors

Don't know if I agree with his methods, but I have a real issue with the Japanese harvesting whales under the guise of research. I can't know the man's motives for what he does, but he at least stands for something and is willing to put it all on the line. His crew is all volunteers and they know what the agenda is before signing on, they have to accept the dangers of what they do, just like they have to accept the danger of hypothermia if they go in the water. From what I have seen they have at least put a dent in the Japanese whaling program. I would be right there with them if I wasn't such a self interested capitalist that needs to make a living to pay my bills.
