Not really a thread, but an inquiry. I have a newly registered boat in Maryland and would like to know if I am required to carry the original title onboard or whether I will be ok with a photocopy, therefore keeping the original somewhat safer. Any problems with this?

You are not required to carry the title on board at all, just the registration card:
Location: Cayuga Lake NY - or on the boat somewhere south of there
Boat: Caliber 40

Re: Paperwork requirements
or the coast guard documentation since MD allows you to skip the state registration if you are documented with the Coast Guard (though this doesnt get you out of paying the state tax - they want your money either way)
