Hi Andrew ,
You might like to know that the numbers say different to your theory. In the last two years immigration into NZ has been positive and most of those are NZers returning from Oz because the economy there is not that flash. Merry Christmas

BTY. The offer i made to Mr Cate is open to others upon application as detailed previously.
ONLY Mr Cate gets X 20. All others get, how much was it, €2.00 or something? PM me.
This is a shocking situation and frankly is likely to deter all but mega yacht owners.IMHO.
Really dumb Kiwis!

by taxpayers. Maybe you should actually go there and see what you are missing.
Merry Christmas
I don't know if the cost of the lifeboat in New Zealand is covered by the taxpayer or charity,as it is in the UK.
Please enlighten me . (if you would be so kind )

Wotevaworkz.
WRONG!
Unzud immigration increase is presently app 85% Asian.
And.....Kiwis returning home usually do so on an Unzud passport because they were only in Oz on visas in the first place & usually for decades to boot.
Metinkit you do better homework.
New Zulland.....lovely place, lovely people, rediculously low fees.....

If your question is - is Search and Rescue activities in NZ taxpayer or chartity funded, the answer is the former. Taxpayer funded.

Ok ! old geezer , not that I would doubt your statement for a moment, but would you kindly back that up with facts, rather than instantiated statements.
It's just that I've learn't to have a healthy distrust of stands made by ,shall we say " interested parties ".
I am,of course, your obedient servant.

Look it up yourself mate. Here's a hint; try starting with the Rescue Coordination Centre NZ.

Further - its unsubstantiated rather than instantiated

Lastly - what do you mean by "Interested Parties" if you mean me, you would be wrong, I am not even a Kiwi.

PM me sir with your bank details and, despite being the poorest poster on CF, i will deposit TWENTY Unzud fees into your bank a/c poste haste.
Poor man.
You make it hard to love you son.
Churrs.
WTF??

Did the bluebird of happiness crap in your Christmas pudding?

For the record, we spent 18 months cruising in New Zealand and loved the place. Would have stayed there, but we were too old to be considered as potential citizens.

And as a general statement, I hate to see fees start up where no fees were before, for they tend to escalate over time. Witness the AQIS fee in Oz, which began as a trivial amount and has now reached 380 dollars, double that if you should arrive outside of 8-4, M-F. Not unendurable, but if you come and go much, it can add up. That's a high hourly rate for an inspection which, when we cleared in in November, took less than 1/2 hour.

At present, the Kiwi fee is also trivial, and of course would not deter any rational person from visiting. We might even sail back one day...

Yeah, you see, blind 'em with ******** first to see if that works.
I pity you if you're reduced to the government intervention though.
We, in the UK rely on, and appreciate greatly the lifeboat institution,to which we gladly give our shekels.
Hope that you're happy with your institutional obesience
