Does anyone knows what are the rules for a canadian coming into the US on a work visa for two year and bring his boat with him?

There are several threads on this board covering the issue.
Cbp.gov will have rules for you, but from what I read, Canadian vessels need to report arrival but do not need a cruising permit. A cruising permit is good for up to a year, then you have to take the boat out for 15 days before getting a new one.
