McBarge Vancouver?

McDonalds built and ran a floating restaurant during Vancouver's Exposition in '86 that was known as "McBarge." It was a huge success that summer, but, following the fair, the large and expensive building became the object of some dispute, and was eventually anchored in Burrard Inlet many years ago. Sailing there this summer for the first time in many many years, I was surprised to see it still sitting there, badly deteriorated, and perhaps abandoned. It would have made a great floating restaurant, hotel, or marine trades college, or something. Anyone know the story? Who owns the thing? Is it going to sit there for another 30 years?
