Re: Liferaft in France really mandatory?

ok, guess consensus is do not have to have the raft due to the vessel not beeing under French flag.
If I where in a discussion with the douane or other maritime affairs I'd rather wag my ponytail and be nice than involving lawyers.
Being friendly and positive works wonders. Been there done that.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Re: Liferaft in France really mandatory?

The posts on the French websites I read look for good prices on US websites, because theirs are too high.

Nope. May very well be the case in the centre of the universe, and maybe even in Europe, - my part of the world, you obey the same laws I do. I don't profess to know French Law, but it would worth doing the research.

As for getting Lawyers to talk to authorities, again not sure if that works for you, certainly won't work here.
