ensenada has a marina cooperativa that prohibits anchoring. must use a marina. there are good lesser marinas than coral and cruiseport or baja naval.. the little marinas along the malecon --juanitos botes.. or botes juanitos..has white and blue fishing boats and a long dock. berth on long dock and speak with the owners, juan or juan lu. explain situation. be ready to pay for night berth--go to port capt and splain situation maybe can be a permit to anchor. i donot honestly know, but it doesnot hurt to try. the entire check in process including getting ace or wdf insurance should take less than one day if begun before 0900. i mention ace as they are walking distance and easily enough found. was on malecon, across from botes juanitos. i was placed on anchor during newport ensenada, at which time no one stays in marinas as all slips are promised to participants.
ps when i arrived i had no insurance either so i bought ace. i donot know where novamar broker is--baja naval or clerk in port capt office may know. have em draw a map for ye.

Re: Help - Mexican insurance

K so in case this helps out anyone in the future. Novamar insurance does not require drivers licence or any id or vessel survey to get mexican liability insurance but you cant use cash at there offices. So you gotta have a bloody credit card. @&#&+$(! Bit yeah. Got it. Thanks for the help yawl.

Re: Help - Mexican insurance

That also sucks aboit the marina coop. Any option that doesnt give those f*ckasses more money souds good to me. Freedom of sailing is the freedom to drop the hook. Stupid marinas can suck it
