Foreign-Flag Yacht to US Waters

Dear all,

I would really appreciatte if someone can bring some light to this situation.

I would like to bring my 55' motor yacht to the States in order to enjoy it mainly in Florida waters, but also crusing to the , Puerto Rico and coming and going up & down the coast line.

The boat will have her berth in next to the house in Fort Lauderdale.

The boat is Spanish flagged and will arive as cargo to the U.S. clear customs and then what? Shall be request the CBP for "Permit to Proceed" if we want to have lunch in a marina?

Every time we left for the Bahamas we need to report the CBP and USCG?

Do we need to apply for a "Temporary Importation Bond"?

What other requirements we do need to fulfil in order to stay there legally for a period between 6 and 18 weeks?

Am I forgeting something important?

Your expertise and comments will be highly appreciatted.

Best regards,
