Florida use/sales tax?

Hey y'all just a quick question about the Florida use/sales tax. We have owned our boat for over two years and are planning on spending some time in Florida for a few years, to date the only times we were in Florida was on our way to the Bahamas. Our vessel is CG documented but not registered in any state. The FL tax revenue site says you are only subject to the 6% tax if you bring the boat in within six months of purchase. Will we be subject to that tax or just the registration fee.

Just the annual registration fee. It's not much....

There's your answer, right there. If you have owned and used your boat in another state for more than 6 months, then you owe no use tax when you bring the boat to Florida.
