Chartering Liveaboard Vagabonds.

Hi,
A friend and i have been talking about selling our smaller cruisers and buying something larger, around the 75-80ft mark. The intention being to have contributing crew and doing the odd 'organised charter group' wilst cruising. We both are surfers, divers, rock climbers etc and plan on having a big yacht we can take others with simular interests on trips/expeditions whilst covering costs and maybe banking a little.

The question i have is- has anyone had experience with this sort of cruising and the problems/pitfalls of attempting to run a yacht in this manner. Legalities, officials, insurance and local operators etc?

Also is there a norm as far as contributing crew costs, is there basic day rate.

Any info/advice would be great. Cheers
