Have finally retired and now want to live out my dream of owning a motor yacht. I have some previous experience with a 27 footer about 15 years ago on Lake Mead. Would like to buy a 38' to 42' cruiser and dock her in Souther California (La or San Diego area). Think the first step should be to find a really good broker who can educate me on how to go about fulfilling my dream. Looking for someone with patience, honesty, reliability, experience and knowledgeable of the Southern California market. Most of all looking for someone who will be a real advocate for me from start to finish. If anyone can recommend a broker with whom they have had a really good buying experience please let me know. Tony Duni, owner of Heritage Yachts in Long Beach, Wilmington and Newport Beach. I purchased the Oyster using Tony as my buyers broker and sold the Hunter 450 through him at the same time. Super honest guy. He's also the Catalina and Hans Christian dealer. He also owns a small marina and can help you get a berth to start out.
