Bringing Parts into Grenada

Anyone have experience bringing parts into Grenada in carry on or checked baggage. Are they going to want documentation of the value and some import tariff or taxes? Nothing very valuable. Zincs, bilge pump, electrical spares. That type of thing.

Anyone in Port Louis at the moment?

Why not buy parts tax free at the excellant marine stores in Granada?

Fyi-Budget Marine or Island Waterworld rarely have any parts for my Perkins. I'm currently on the hook just off of Port Louis.

The OP didn't mention a need for Perkins parts. Only general boat parts found anywhere. West Marine dosen't carry Perkins parts either, go figure.

My experience is Custom officers seem to carry little about small items. They get a little pickier about expensive electronics. The tariff was pretty small. This was like 6 and more years ago.

Any recent customs about bringing parts in with checked luggage? We are heading home from Grenada and would like to bring some stuff on the return trip...
