Re: Boatowner Fraud

By the article it is not clear if the owner was party to the "theft and scuttling" but as the captain had no financial gain from the insurance a number of unanswered question arise. We will need to see what happens to the owner and his declaration.

When I was a boy my momma would send me down to the corner store with $1 and I would come back with 5 potatoes, 2 loaves of bread, 3 bottles of milk, a hunk of cheese, a box of tea and 6 eggs. Can't do that now, too many f**kn security cameras.

Re: Boatowner Fraud

There was a guy in Guam that leased helicoptors to the tuna fleets, the majority of the tuna boats were flaged out of S.Korea and they would lease the choppers but the pilots would do there own maintinace, rather than hire an A&P or whatever chopper mechs. are called, anyway, over a period of 3 yrs. my buddy had 6 insurance claims filed by the koreans. The insurance company put an investigator on the boat as crew and he filmed the chopper flying away from the fleet .He filmed the pilot landing the aircraft on the water then stab or cut the floats. The ship then went over and lifted the founderd chopper on deck...DVC
