Boat ownership in charter company

My catamaran will sit in Tortola until The Moorings charter contract expires.
Should I register the boat in The Bahama's and get a 1 year cruiser's permit
in Florida or be resigned to paying sales tax on the depreciated value of the boat upon entering Florida waters?
I am u.s
Thanks
