Get rid of the BB gun if you're cruising away from home.

Loopy,

A 5 gallon bucket full of bb's launched with a sling shot will provide heaps of fun with the birds. Unlike the BB gun, you can load a dozen bb's into the slingshot and get a "shotgun" spread effect. This just get's rid of the nuisance without risk of killing the birds. But you'd be surprised just how much a stranded Booby will put up with for the free ride across the Pacific. As long as they aren't pooping on your solar panels, or radome - then they aren't much bother whilst underway. Using any type of gun looking abject in port is gonna eventually attract attention you DON'T want.
