You will need to have a copy of the cruising permit from the boat you will be joining. No problem, we do it a lot.

Last fall my friend flew one way fort lauderdale to treasure cay with nothing more than his passport to help me bring my boat back. It was on one of the smaller planes, Airgate I think.

Guess it depends on the agent at the gate but typically if you are not a citizen of the country you will have to have a way out before they let you in. For example just this May my son called me in a panic from ft Lauderdale saying they would not let him board with out a copy of the cruising permit. I reminded him that I had emailed him a copy several days ago and he forwarded it to the gate agent and all was well.

Although Bahamasair is terrible as far as flight delays, once you get the cruising permit in their system they usually do not ask again. If the airline does not make sure you have a way back they can get a hefty fine.
A tip, on some online booking sites you have a 24- hour full refund policy.. Remember that if you have to buy a one way ticket to satisfy the airliner. And sometimes the airline needs to see the paper itinerary, not one on your smartphone. Don't ask how i know. But have you every tried to buy a printer in an airport?

Sent from an undisclosed location on the high seas or from the lounge chair by the pool, you decide.
