That's an easy one.... Don't visit Ca, don't buy a boat that was ever associated with CA, heck don't even think CA. California is probably the leader in finding ways to harass people for their perceived right to get a piece of you and yours.

That's probably the best advice. You certainly wouldn't want to live there, moor your yacht here, own a business there, send your kids to public schools and then rant about not wanting to pay taxes!

Indeed!

I'm pretty sure that California is the only state in the US that collects a sales tax (Use tax) so no one should visit here or buy anything here.

However, if California wanted to tax me on the beautiful 74 degree dry sunshine I am currently sitting in - then I'd be glad to pay.

yep...woke up to another hard winter day in California of shorts and T-shirt with NO Humidity.

But we do pay for it in the higher cost of living...but you only live once, you you might as well enjoy it!
