Anyone ever had a parking ticket for a dinghy ?

We stopped in sardinia, went to beach on the dinghy , tied it up to a pole, came back and our padlock had an extra padlock on it, with a notice taped to the dinghy, turns out the police had fined us, 201.8 euros to be exact for parking out dinghy on a beach... is this normal??

Have not had it happen to me but heard about it happening the keys, even heard complaints about dinghies impounded for docking at a private dock.

So was there a no parking sign?

In the old days at The Dockside in Marathon in the Keys they would haul your dinghy away if you didn't pay your dockage.
