zinc spray

Hello All, I just installed a bronze thru hull depth sounder, Do I need to spray the bronze part with a zinc spray ? I've done the strut and prop.
thinking it couldn't hurt.

If you are referring to the head of the transducer itself then no. Coating the transducer with anything other than paint designed for that specific application will reduce the strength of the signal giving you limited or possibly zero max depth range.

The paperwork that comes with transducers usually mention this.
