Yanmar Engine Paint

My engine rebuild, is complete, now to paint it before reinstall.
I read somewhere on this forum about yanmar engine paint being easy to get from autosupply I have searched but could not fiind." CAN I ASK FOR MORE HELP'" Please Oh I have not test run it yet so I am exited, will send pictures when ready

I would just get some high temperature engine paint and paint it white, but that's just my own preference. I think you can see better into an engines nooks and crannies when it is painted white. You know how dark engine spaces can seem to be when you are crawling around one looking for a problem. The more light that reflects around, the better.

The original Yanmar paint is not very good. Like David said, go with a good engine paint from an auto supply. White is nice for dark areas but I like the chevy orange myself.

I just used Duplicolor high-temp engine paint for mine, worked nicely:

If you want to do a "YANMAR APPROVED" paint job, don't forget to paint all the hoses and belts!!!!

White is good.. chevy orange with white go fast stripes. tempting but some body listed the type of paint,and the colour code for a paint that matched the yanmar grey but thanks for the suggestions.
