Winches

Wilcox-Crittenden (Marinium) Winches
Easily identifiable by either the W/C logo or the word "Marinium" stamped into them, and as the only Aluminum Winches using a Flat, Slide-in Handle, Wilcox-Crittenden Winches have been out of production for over 30 years. Marinium was their trade name for a proprietary Aluminum alloy. Wilcox-Crittenden has been in and out of business several times, and no longer produce or service Winches. The only part Rig-Rite stocks for Wilcox-Crittenden Winches are Handles for their Marinium (Aluminum) #1 Sheet Winch. These Winches were common on East Coast production boats of the 1970's, notably Bristol, O'Day, Pearson, and Sea-Sprite.
I found the winches on the web. The spindle was needed repair, which now has been repaired. Thanks to all who tried to help

Thanks David. My winches are Mariner winches from a Mariner 31 ketch which was destroyed on a reef here in Reeds Bay here in Hawaii. I think they are a completely different winch because they are chrome over bronze and have a winch handle similar to a lewmar.
Kind Regards, --JohnL--
