Whitlock Steering

Hi. Need to replace the ball sockets on a Whitlock steering system circa the mid 70's. Led to believe they were manufactured for a commercial (British?) motor vehicle. I have measured and made a drawing of the parts and have seen several similar. There are hundres in the trade catalogues and none seem to be dimensioned. Trouble is I need a vehicle model to be able to identify a suitable part. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Lewmar now owners of Whitlock Steering as others have pointed out have not been any help at all.
I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Indeed he does, if a little difficult to get hold of because he is always busy, a good sign He may even have a second hand part for you.

The photos of the "tiller to wheel conversion" are of our Moody 31 which Cliff changed to wheel steering for us. We supplied a newish pedestal and Cliff sourced the missing drag link and rudder shaft arm, then fitted it.

Whitlock steering

Thanks guys but CM can't help. I got on to him quite early but the Whitlock steering I'm concerned with was fitted in the early 70's. Would still appreciate any sound advice. Somebody, some where must know for which motor vehicle the ball and socket joints were intended. Thanks again.
