White hull + Used motor oil = Bad Stain!

Anyone have any tips or tricks for getting used motor oil off a white hull? I pulled a real doozey today and spilled probably a cup of really black, used motor oil right on my deck today. It's bad. Very bad.

Would I just have to grind down with a normal gel coat cleaner, or is there a nice way to get the oil up?

Thanks for any insight. It's one ugly mess. I'm afriad the Admiral will have me walk the plank!

Thank you, Pat! I'll give it a try.

In your line of business, it's bound to happen from time to time, right?

I would start with paint thinner first. Acetone can do a number on your finish if you are not careful.

I think I'd start with a driveway degreeser. After a while the sun will bleach out what's left........................._/)

I have had some success using an old hand cleaner trick my dad taught me. Scrub it with cooking oil, then use regular dish detergent. Believe it or not, this works really well on motor oil. It also works really well cleaning grease off your hands as long as you do not get your hands or the surface wet before you apply the cooking oil.

And all this time I thought you were cooking with gas.

I don't cook, Susan Does. When I cook, the natives revolt
