There are some good used gear
chandleries within rock throwing distance of you. Both North & South of the border. The catch being, that there's NO substitute for visiting them yourself, & looking at their wares. And doing so on a regular basis, as well as establishing a relationship with the staff.
Also, have you tried putting up some Gear
Wanted postings? You may wind
another whole Dorade & accessories, but for only $20. So it's worth a try.
And as stated already, fabricating one (or a few) DIY style likely won't be that difficult. And may save you both time & $, vs. all of the travel, calls, & online time it'll take to find a replacement.
Ditto on fixing the one you have, & making it better than new. Via a bit of beefing up, & some new paint
. Unless, that is, UV has killed the plastic through embrittlement.
Either way, fix, or build one yourself, there are examples of similar projects having been conquered on the WEST System website, & plenty of other places.
