Valiant 40 Progress - Part Four (Tenting and Final Masking)

Today we built the tent for the bow since this monstrosity stick four feet out of my shop. Stillrainning came by with his truck so we could get the lumber.

We got the tarp up and strip nailed just as the showers hit.

Kinda big...

We also got the boat masked off or bagged and tagged.

Below as well.

The masking wraps completely under the hull to protect it. The topside is double sealed as well.

Tomorrow is final prep day before I put on the first color.

The second coat of bottom paint will go on after the topcoat is tape free (about 24 hours after spraying) and the final pad touchup after that. We have one very tight stand we don't wanna move because I guess she has a bit of a lean. I'll hit that one spot after I talk to the yard guys about moving that stand. This way, they'll be no tape marks in the bottom paint.
