I'd rather have names of individuals. May be a good yard, but not ALL good workers. And all good workers may not work out of a yard.

Hmmm, I have mixed feelings.
I've never had a note on a boat because I was able to find neglected, good quality boats, fix them, sail them and sell them for a gain. Buy another, move up in quality and size and keep moving, it's not easy, but it's a better use of time than watching TV.
It's sad to see what some people do to perfectly good boats, but then again it provides opportunities for those of us who have a little skill and energy.
It just kills me though when I see a boat I restored 10 years before turn up in a local boatyard in **** shape.
Saw one of my original big boats in a yard recently in terrible shape with the drunk owner yacking about what a piece crap it was. Wasn't like that when I sold it.

kind of what has happened to me ,, not selling things off i have added electronics , life raft ,solar panels ,controllers , etc, but i spent money making it as live able as i could make it ,, spent 3 months on board working pretty much 7 days a week spent more money on her than i paid for it ,, now mechanical problems i cannot fix and really cannot afford to fix ,, a mechanic that wants to live on a great boat and work i will pay all expenses to live on her and work on her
