The Oven that Won't Cook

It seems we have a issue with our cooker (plastismo neptune 3000)

The oven burner will only ever burn with flame very low no matter what setting the set the temp guage to.

This model model has a thermostatically control, would this be the cause for the promblem?

Thoughts much appreciated!

I'm not familiar with the Plastimo but it should not be hard to find. When you light it it will be close to where the flame starts, near the spark ignition. Remove it and soak in alcohol. It looks like a carburetor jet. Perhaps you might find a manual on the internet. If you email them they might send you one.

Some of the ovens had controls where you had to press in on the temperature control for several seconds so that the propane would heat up a bimetallic strip that would allow the gas to flow. It was supposed to be a safety feature but seemed more like a gotcha to me.

The thermostat could be defective - thinking the stove temp was too high.

Do the burners work fully?
Is there plenty of gas in the tank?
Do the oven burner holes show any signs of blockage?

thanks for your suggestions, All the other burners work ok and there is plenty of gas in the tank. The cooker is only a year or two old, so i can check for blockages then maybe the thermostat.

Any only know how to test the thermostat on its own or with a multimeter or some other tool?
